As the term draws to a close, it is wonderful to reflect on the many exciting activities that have been undertaken this term.  All year levels have been involved in coursework and co-curricular activities that have all contributed to building each student’s personal profile of their experiences and involvement.

Students often underestimate the importance of all their experiences and how this builds a portfolio of who they are and what they have achieved – so they are encouraged to record these experiences and achievements as part of their resume and personal folio for future reference.

Year 12 students are reminded that if they are planning to apply for tertiary study next year, their VTAC application must be in by 27 September to ensure a timely application.  SEAS and Scholarship applications as part of the VTAC process are due to be completed by 12 October.  Many students and families have been seeking assistance in this process and those still to complete a VTAC application are encouraged to contact the Careers office if they require clarification or help in lodging their application.

Students also applying for interstate courses are reminded to check due dates to ensure all requirements are met for each particular course and institution.

Years 10 and 11 students undertaking Work Experience during the upcoming holiday break should have all their paperwork finalised by now and we wish them every success in their undertaking of experiences in the workforce.  If students have not completed their applications for Work Experience they will be able to apply to do a placement next year as Work Experience can be undertaken by Years 10, 11 and 12 students during the term breaks.

As always this week’s newsletter has some exciting holiday opportunities and workshops as well as varied information on experiences and careers!
